WHAT DOES MY PARTICIPATION INVOLVE?
Participation in this study is voluntary. If you decide to participate, this will involve an online survey about your background, your social media use, and your understanding of digital citizenship, and a short quiz about your perspectives on citizenship.
The survey and quiz together should take no longer than 10 minutes.
The topics that will be covered in the survey and quiz include: identity information (age, gender, ethnicity, etc); community engagement (volunteer work and memberships); political and social issues (watching the news/interesting topics); and using social media (habits, preferences, political engagement). Please talk to a parent or guardian about completing this survey, to ensure they are happy for you to do this.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO INFORMATION ABOUT ME?
This quiz is anonymous. This information will be treated confidentially. Only the researchers on this project will be able to access the results of the survey.
Access to the online questionnaire is via the university platform Qualtrics. Submission of the online questionnaire is an indication of your consent. By clicking the survey link you consent to the research team collecting and using the information you provide for the research project.
